Every Richmond Public Library needs a Summer Intern
Summer is our busiest time of year, and Richmond Public Library is gearing up now.
With your help last summer, Richmond Public Library was able to hire 10 summer interns. Each branch library had their own intern, and the Main Library had two. So what happened with this new capacity?
We expanded summer youth programs, STEAM and STEM programs quadrupled, and even more children attended storytimes and new programs - exceeding the prior summer by a large margin. Interns became vital members of our branch teams, leading activities and storytimes, managing essential projects, and were friendly and welcoming faces across the library system.
